Beim Z-CARBON liegt die Kunstfaser innen direkt auf dem Kernfurnier. Daher ist es etwas langsamer und kontrollierter als das Z-CARBON SPEED. Zusätzlich dazu hat das Z-CARBON etwas mehr Katapult und einen weicheren Ballanschlag. Alles in allem also eine entschärfte Version des Z-CARBON SPEED mit mehr Gefühl und Kontrolle.

Für welche Spieler eignet sich das Z-CARBON?

Das Z-CARBON ist ideal für offensive Tischtennisspieler, die einen Schläger mit hohem Tempo, aber trotzdem weichem Ballgefühl suchen. Das Z-CARBON ist kein knüppelharter Trümmer, sondern ein gefühlvolles Offensivholz, das sich gut kontrollieren lässt, ohne dabei langsam zu sein.

Was ist das besondere am ROOTS 8 Spezialgriff?

Der Schlägergriff des ROOTS 8 in ein konkaver Spezial-Griff, den wir für schnelles Drehen optimiert haben. Der Griff ist seitlich angeschrägt und hat die Form einer Schiffsschraube. Dadurch lässt er sich besonders schnell drehen.

Was ist der Unterschied zwischen ROOTS und BASIC Griffen?

BASIC Griffesind ganzklassischeSchlägergriffe in gerade und konkav, wie man sie so kennt. ROOTS Griffesind ganzspezielle Schläger-Griffemit Formen, die es sonst nicht gibt. Kann man ROOTS bzw. BASIC Hölzer umtauschen?

Ja, du kannst das Holz innerhalb von 14 Tagen umtauschen. Voraussetzung dafür ist aber, dass das Holz nicht gespielt wurde und sich in einem unversehrten Zustand befindet. Der ROOTS Griff, den ich haben möchte, ist bei meiner Holz-Sorte nicht verfügbar. Was ist zu tun?

The Z-CARBON is a fast carbon blade designed for offensive players who want to play at a high pace without sacrificing feel. It is slightly slower and more controlled than its counterpart, the Z-CARBON SPEED.

The inner Z-Carbon fiber provides the blade with stability and speed, while the thick spruce outer veneer offers greater feel and very high spin potential.

So the Z-CARBON doesn't feel stiff and lifeless like traditional carbon woods; it still retains its flexibility.

It is particularly well-suited for offensive players who want to playtopspins with a lot of spin, even from a distance from the table.

To prevent the blade from becoming too stiff —and thus difficult to control—we’ve placed the Z Carbon layer between the core veneer and the middle layer. Theouter layer, made of spruce and ayous, ensures a responsive feelupon ball contact. The synthetic fibers stiffen the wood, resulting in short ball contact times and high bounce speed.

The Strengths of the Z-CARBON

Especially with the topspin is where this combination really shines. The blade offers very high spin potential and, at the same time, enough speed to powerfully accelerate the ball even from mid-range.

Is the Z-CARBON hard to control?

No, we wouldn't put it that way. It's definitely not intended as a first racket for absolute beginners. But in terms of control, it falls in the upper mid-range. For a carbon racket, it's quite responsive, not too stiff, and offers pretty good control.

What's the difference between this and the Z-CARBON SPEED?

We used the same synthetic fiber for both blades, but they differ in their construction. The Z-CARBON SPEED is significantly faster and also slightly stiffer. The Z-CARBON is essentially the “milder” version of its counterpart and a bit easier to handle.

What's the difference between this and SPEED OFFENSIVE?

The Z-CARBON delivers significantly more spin and a bit more speed. It has more pop and flexes more, while the SPEED OFFENSIVE feels very stiff and hard, like a classic carbon blade.

Simply the Best

When the blade arrived, my initial impression was simply “Quality”. Holding the roots-8 handle customised handle was pleasant. However, my first set of rubbers (Rozena on BH, Rakza Z boosted on FH) didn’t pair well with this blade making me think it was not a good buy. I later tried Tenergy 05 Fx on BH and Gewo Codexx 54 on FH and started to enjoy the blade much more. However, because of the initial impressions, and being an EJ, I decided to compare it to other setups (see photos). To my surprise, none matched this blade and second set of rubbers. It is really a controlled beast. It took me 2-3 weeks to fall in love with it. Now I feel like my BH is a guided missile (unlike other setups that felt more like a canon), and my power loops on the FH is unmatched. Great job Soulspin and special thanks for the Roots-8 handle

Habe mir ein Soulspin Z-Carbon mit der Schlägerblattgröße S bestellt. Meinem Wunsch nach einem verkürzten Griff wurde ebenfalls nachgekommen. Der Kundenservice ist hier lobenswert, habe immer schnell Rückmeldung bekommen.
Am Holz gibt es nicht zu mäkeln. Tolle Verarbeitung und überraschend stabil.
Spieleigenschaften ist natürlich subjektives Empfinden. Ich würde das Z-Carbon mit Spielspaß pur beschrieben. Es ist sehr weich und katapultig und hat entsprechend viel Eigenleben und unterstützt einen beim Beschleunigen. Muss man natürlich mögen. Aber es ist definitiv nichts für Anfänger, denn dieses Eigenleben muss eben auch kontrolliert werden.

Das Holz hat eine ausgezeichnete Qualität und man hat es gerne in der Hand. Es spielt sich druckvoll und dennoch gut kontrollierbar und ist dabei gut im Topsinspiel am Tisch wie aus der Halbdistanz einsetzbar. Topspin oder Schlagspin ist beides gut spielbar und auch der Schuss zum Abschluss funktionieren wunderbar.

Sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man ein offensiv orientiertes Topspin-Spiel am Tisch und gelegentlicher Halbdistanz wünscht.

Ich spiele inzwischen das zweite Holz von Soulspin. Die verwendeten Materialien und die Verarbeitung sind absolut hochwertig. Mithilfe der umfangreichen Testmöglichkeiten kann jeder relativ einfach das passende Holz finden und Fehlkäufe vermeiden.
Auch Service und Beratung haben in meinem Fall bisher keine Wünsche offen gelassen.

Auf Empfehlung von Steffen Mengel habe ich die Firma Soul Spin aufgesucht. Anlass war, dass ich bis dato je nach Tagesform mit zwei unterschiedlichen Hölzern gespielt habe; ein Holz, das ein sehr gutes Handling hat ( Griff, wenig Gewicht, gute Gewichtsverteilung ) und ein Holz, das deutlich mehr Sicherheit vermittelt, aber zu schwer ist und nicht mit dem für mich richtigen Griff verfügbar ist. Meine Anforderung demzufolge war mir ein Holz zu gestalten, das die Spieleigenschaften des schweren Holzes mit dem Handling des leichten Holzes vereint. Nach verschiedenen Tests wurde letztendlich das richtige Holz für mich ausgewählt und bedarfsgerecht angefertigt. Mit dem Basic Z-Karbon habe ich jetzt ein Holz, das mir bei jedem Training sehr viel Freude bereitet. Durch die gute Rückmeldung fühle ich mich vom ersten Ball an wohl und die hohe Flugkurve des Balles gibt mir genügend Zeit mich auf den Folgeball vorzubereiten.

Ich hatte das Walnuss, das Spin-offensiv und das z Carbon im Test. Alle drei Hölzer sind von ausgesuchter Qualität und gefallen mir sehr gut.
