Table Tennis blades
Find the wood that suits your game
A good table tennis racket doesn't have to be as fast as possible. It needs to suit your technique, your playing style, and the feel you prefer when hitting the ball.
That’s exactly why we don’t offer a single blade that’s right for everyone. Our table tennis blades differ significantly in terms of speed, control, stiffness, spin, catapult effect, and ball feel. From controlled defensive blades to very fast carbon blades, you’ll find a variety of styles here for all-around, offensive, and defensive players.
They all have one thing in common: All SOULSPIN woods are handcrafted in Germany with great attention to detail.
Free sealing included
We seal all SOULSPIN blanks for free during the manufacturing process. This means you can apply your rubber directly to the blank as soon as it arrives. We recommend reapplying the sealant with PROTECT every 2–3 rubber changes to ensure it remains well protected.
Which table tennis racket is right for you?
The key question isn't just whether you play offensively or defensively. It's also important to consider how your blade should support you in doing so.
If you prefer hard, direct ball contact and play a lot of blocks, counterattacks, or shots, you’ll want to consider different blades than those used by a topspin player, who needs a higher trajectory and a lot of spin.
There are also major differences in speed: A fast blade can react very linearly, so that the speed comes almost entirely from your own movement. Another blade accelerates the ball much more on its own, thereby helping you generate topspin—it’s all a matter of personal preference.
That's why it's worth not just buying the supposedly "best" or fastest table tennis racket, but the one that's the best fit for your game.
From maximum control to a fast-paced offense
We've designed our woods to accommodate a variety of playing styles.
With CONTROL, VARIOUS OFFENSIVE, or ULTRALIGHT, the focus is more on control, error tolerance, and a manageable pace. The BASALT combines excellent ball feel and spin with more offensive speed.
If you play a much more offensive style, there are different ways to increase your speed: The WALNUT SPEED plays fast, hard, and very linearly. The SPIN OFFENSIVE, on the other hand, offers more support for spin and acceleration. The Z-CARBON combines the stability and speed of carbon with a comparatively high level of feel and spin.
Players who prefer a particularly firm and direct ball contact for blocks, counterattacks, and shots will find a completely different feel with the SPEED OFFENSIVE. At the top end of the speed spectrum is theZ-CARBON SPEED —a blade for technically skilled offensive players who crave this speed but can also control it.
The most popular SOULSPIN blade right now is the CONTROL. It combines decent speed with extremely high control and can be used in almost any playing situation. Most players really appreciate this extra sense of security.
For players who prefer material-oriented and pimpled rubbers, the MEDIUM SPEED is a deliberately hard and stable blade. The DEFENSIVE CONTROL, on the other hand, is designed for classic defensive players who are looking for a high level of control, extended ball contact time, and a larger blade.
Professional Table Tennis Rackets—or Just the Right Racket?
Many people are looking for a professional table tennis racket, even though they're actually looking for a high-quality racket for training, league play, and club use.
That said, a pro doesn't automatically use the same equipment that works best for you. Very fast or demanding blades can help you get the most out of a clean technique—but they're also less forgiving if your contact point and swing aren't quite right.
That's why we don't view "pro" as a quality level that's automatically better. What matters is whether a piece of wood suits your skill level and playing style.
With the Steffen Mengel AR, SOULSPIN also offers an offensive blade developed in collaboration with Bundesliga pro Steffen Mengel. When choosing your own blade, however, the name on it shouldn’t be the deciding factor—it should be how it plays. It simply has to suit you, your playing style, and your hand—otherwise, it won’t make sense and you won’t enjoy playing with it.
Carbon or solid wood?
This decision also depends on what exactly you're looking for.
Carbon and other synthetic fiber woods can give the racket additional stability and responsiveness. However, how much you notice this depends largely on the overall veneer construction and the orientation of the fibers. That’s why, for example, the SPEED OFFENSIVE, Z-CARBON, and BASALT feel significantly different despite all being made of synthetic fibers.
Even among solid-wood blades, there is no single, uniform character. A WALNUT blade offers a hard, linear feel, while a SPIN OFFENSIVE blade plays with significantly more liveliness and provides greater support for spin and acceleration.
Customize Your Table Tennis Racket
Once you've found the right wood, you can customize your table tennis racket and tailor it to your playing style. SOULSPIN offers a variety of woods and handle shapes for this purpose.
You can either choose a pre-configured wood from this product category—the advantage of this is that you can exchange the wood within 14 days, as long as you haven't glued any coverings to it yet. Plus , they're available quickly because we always keep small quantities in stock.
Or you can customize your own unique wood in our configurator. There, you can choose all the specifications for your club yourself, such as head size, grip shape, and length.
If you're not yet sure which blade is right for you, don't just go by the OFF, ALL, or DEF categories. Pay special attention to speed, control, stiffness, spin, error tolerance, and how the blade performs during play.
We've created a short quiz to help you choose the perfect paddle. Just answer three quick questions, and we'll tell you which blade is the best fit for you. Take the quiz: Which table tennis blade is right for me?
After all, your new table tennis racket shouldn't just look good on paper. It should help you at the table and—most importantly—it should bring you lots of fun and, of course, as many points as possible.
