The DEFENSIVE CONTROL offers a very responsive and controlled feel. The thick spruce outer veneers ensure longer ball contact: The ball doesn’t bounce back erratically, giving you a moment longer to control it. This is especially helpful in defense, allowing you to precisely control the direction and spin of the ball.

With a moderate pace and high control, the focus is clearly on safety. But don’t worry—the blade isn’t extremely slow. We’ve used a thick Kiri core veneer, which gives the blade a solid pace so you can strike a suitable ball with precision.
Overall, you’ll enjoy greater stability and control, especially in situations where a faster blade would be unnecessarily difficult to control.

Its greatest strength, of course, lies in defense. The long ball contact and moderate pace help you return underspin shots with control and place them precisely. Ideal for anyone who likes to frustrate their opponents with precise placement.

Extra-large racket head in size DEF

One unique feature is the 162 × 156 mm racket head, which significantly enlarges the sweet spot. If you don't quite hit the ball exactly where you want, this gives you some extra leeway and helps you save a point or two.

The larger head also shifts the balance more toward the clubhead, making it top-heavy. This is exactly what helps with topspin: Because the center of gravity is higher up, you can generate plenty of swing with less arm action and put spin on the ball.
That’s why it’s also a good fit for defensive players who don’t want to finish every point exclusively with backspin.

• The large DEF blade size makes the club more head-heavy. If you're used to playing with smaller blades, you should keep that in mind.

CONTROL: The CONTROL in blade size L or DEF is also popular among defensive players. It offers a harder, more precise feel and is very popular among pimpled-rubber players. It’s important to note, however, that it also provides a significant boost in speed.
