Extra thick
SUPERBOND is an extra thick rubber glue that we have developed for bonding coarse-pored sponges. The advantage of the thick consistency is that the rubber adhesive completely fills the pores of the sponge. This creates a larger contact area between the racket and the rubber. And the bond holds better accordingly.
A thin-flowing rubber glue, such as CONNECT, is ideal for gluing table tennis rubbers with fine-pored sponges . However, if the sponge has medium to large pores, a thin-flowing adhesive has the disadvantage that it runs into the pores but does not fill them completely.
SUPERBOND is so thick in consistency that it completely fills the pores of the sponge.
Larger contact area = better bonding
