It’s slightly slower and significantly easier to control than its counterpart, the SPIN OFFENSIVE.

So if you don't play quite as aggressively but focus on maximizing spin, the VARIOUS OFFENSIVE is a good choice for you.

Here's how the VARIOUS OFFENSIVE works

The Various Offensive, with its medium-fast pace clearly falls into the all-around category. The advantage—you have more time and control to react than with a fast offensive blade.

The 0.8 mm thick spruce outer veneer ensures a responsive feel when striking the ball. You can really feel the wood vibrate with the shot, giving you precise feedback on how you hit the ball. This feel is especially helpful when you’re playing topspins that aren’t just fast but also have as much spin as possible.

The VARIOUS OFFENSIVE has a nice, high flight path. This is especially helpful when your first topspinto get the ball safely over the net.

A unique feature of the ROOTS 5—the large blade size

If you order the VARIOUS OFFENSIVE in the ROOTS version, we’ll build your blade with a large blade face in size L. This makes the blade slightly top-heavy, which makes it even easier for you to play topspins.
The large blade is also very popular among modern defensive players.
In the BASIC version, we’ll build your VARIOUS OFFENSIVE with a blade size of M.

Here's what you should look for before buying

The Various Offensive isn't a hidden high-speed blade. If you're looking for a very fast blade above all else, you'll find this one too slow.

We deliberately designed this blade to provide a very responsive feel and a slight vibration. If you prefer a very firm and direct feel, the CONTROL or the MEDIUM SPEED are probably the better choices.

The racket is also slightly top-heavy. This makes it much easier to generate topspin, but you should be aware of this and make sure it suits your balance preferences.
