How to Play SPEED OFFENSIVE

For the SPEED OFFENSIVE, we used a hard Koto outer veneer with two layers of carbon directly underneath it. As a result, the blade vibrates very little upon ball contact. So instead of a soft, prolonged ball contact, you get a short and direct response without any vibrations.

At the block, this is especially clear: The ball leaves the racket quickly and immediately. If your racket angle is right, you can return your opponent’s speed very directly.

On the counterattack, the SPEED OFFENSIVE plays just as clearly. Short strokes are enough to generate a lot of speed. This suits players who move in close to the table and make early contact with the ball.

Even with the shooting, the stiff construction promotes a straight and direct ball flight.

The pace is very fast, making control all the more challenging. The SPEED OFFENSIVE does very little to correct your form — but it responds very immediately to your movements. Clean technique is clearly rewarded.

With an active block, you can use your opponent's speed without your paddle giving in too much on contact. In fast counterplay, you get an immediate response and can generate a lot of speed with short movements.

Players who prefer a crisp feel when making contact with the ball also don't have to spend time figuring out just how much the blade is flexing. The feel of the shot remains deliberately firm and distinct.

Here's what you should look for before buying

• The stiff feel is intentional. If you like strong vibrations and a strong "wooden" feel, the SPEED OFFENSIVE will probably feel too stiff to you.
• The fast pace requires precise technique. That's why we don't recommend this blade for beginners.
